Brookdale Campus Ministries Mission Statement

Our Mission is to proclaim God’s Word consistently and effectively as we strive to impact college-age people for Jesus Christ.
We seek to clearly teach God’s Word and live our lives conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.
We desire to not only study and grow in God’s Word, but also to become totally “sold out” followers of Jesus Christ.
Theme Verse
Colossians 3:1-2 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Goals
1. Impact MSUM for Christ.
2. Impact Concordia for Christ.
3. Introduce college age people to Brookdale Campus Ministries and Brookdale Baptist Church.
4. Teach and show the importance of Jesus Christ and the local churches’ role.
5. Build a strong, vibrant ministry at MSUM.
6. Start building a foundation at Concordia.
7. Start an international student ministry.
8. Reach students with the Gospel.
9. Disciple students
10. Have every member of Brookdale Campus Ministries take the next step in their spiritual lives.
11. Impact Brookdale Baptist Church with our testimonies and aliveness and service.
12. Grow in Grace and knowledge.
13. Become more personally disciplined.
14. Become more bold and attractive in our personal witness.
15. Move Higher Ground attenders into treating BCM as their ministry.
Ministry Team Leader Requirements
1. Faithfulness – Not just in attendance, but faithful to God and the mission to which He has called us. Not just dependable, but faithful to family, local church, friends, work etc.
2. Commitment – serious about being used by God to effectively impact people for Christ and to be steadfast no matter what the adversity.
3.Maturity
a. Demonstrating not only Spiritual growth, but a maturity that will allow the leader to not be distracted in their ministry role.
b. Demonstrating a consistent testimony of submissiveness to God and His Ways.
c. Able to admit fault, humbly seek counsel, deal with conflict, and simply handle him or herself in a Christ-like manner.
4.Obedience
a.Humbly following Christ in all areas of life including Baptism and Brookdale Membership or Student Membership.
Brookdale Campus Ministry Team Roles
All roles are under the leadership of the Brookdale Campus Ministries Leader. He, in turn, is under the authority of Brookdale Baptist Church and Brookdale Leadership. All decisions on non-trivial matters must be brought before the Ministry Leader for approval.
The Brookdale Campus Ministries Team should take advantage of other members of the group for work in their area of responsibility, utilizing the gifts, talents, time, energy, and willingness of each individual.
